Victron Energy Blue Solar Charge Controller Mppt 75 1 10 Customer Assistance
Solar Controller options? Hi
We are currently looking to install a large solar array to our catamaran and would like to know the most suitable Victron Solar Controller options for our application.
The array is to consist of 10 panels in total. 6x300w panels and 4x270w panels whis are to the specifications shown below..
The thought process is to break the panels into 5 pairs connected in series (3x600w & 2x540w) which will then run to the solar chargers (potentially 5 separate MPPT's), which will intern charge a large 12v lithium battery bank.
Can anyone provide information on the most suitable Charge controllers to achieve this, or if the is a better alternative to running 5 controllers. (I do not which to connect any more than 2 panels in series, to maintain optimum output protection against potential shading of panels)
Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

100/20 goes thru charging cycles many times in 1 day !? Hi!
Just got my installation done yesterday! Fun to look at and check the statistic on the app :)
My system is 100/20 mppt, 2 x 225 ah 6v, 295w solar panel and bmv712 installed in a sprinter van
Yesterday got the charger to charge and everything looked fine, but this morning I went to work parked the van under the sun, it was in bulk mode at that time. 8 hours later, after work I come back to the van, check the mppt status light it shows it's in absorption, which I though was normal. Then I check the app and it shows it did went thru the float mode for a part of the day...
So I drive back home, once there it was now in float mode, thought it was weird. Went inside my house get a snack, and now it's back in bulk mode
Is that normal?
I thought the cycles was to happen one after the other and it was not going to cycles thru them. Maybe I'm confused...
Just to make it clear, I have a 12v refrigerator hooked on the system, duty cycle is about 15minutes and it roughly draw 50w while on
Also I have checked the plates they look clean without sulfatation

force MPPT 75/15 to stay in bulk I'm trying to use the charge controllers to keep the PV panels at the max operating point. Is there a way to force the MPPT to always stay in bulk mode and not go into float or absorption modes? I have a power resistor that turns on at a high voltage and off at a low voltage. But I can't seem to find the right voltage limits to prevent absorption phase in all cases. Basically I don't want it to limit the current. I don't care about long term battery health (SLA batteries). All setups are using remote battery sense units
Some of my setups work and some don't:
MPPT Modules STC Vmp Battery Voltage Load Voltage Turn On Load Voltage Turn Off Behavior 1 60 24 (12x2) 27 22 bulk only/
no clipping
2 26 12 13 11 absorption/
clipping
3 30 12 13 11 absorption/
clipping
4 19.5 12 14 11.8 bulk only/
no clipping
5 14.5 12 13 11 absorption/
clipping
6 38 24 (12x2) 27 22 bulk only/
no clipping

Solar Charger not charging Hi,
I'm after some technical assistance with an off-grid Victron system that we are having a few issues with.
The system is comprised of 1 x MultiPlus 24/5000/120, 3 x BlueSolar 150/7, a 24V EpzV battery bank and an auto-start Generator.
The main issue we are having is that the system keeps on dropping out due to low battery voltage.
The generator is programmed to come on well before the low battery cut-off voltage and has been confirmed that auto-start is working correctly. The only issue with the auto-start generator is that the site is fairly remote and only visited a few times a month, so I'm guessing the generator is eventually running out of fuel.
After a recent site visit, it was found that the BlueSolar MPPT's were not producing wattage. There was PV voltage of around 73V and battery voltage of 25V which were both shown when connected to the MPPT via the VictronConnect app, but no flow of current to the battery bank / inverter, even with a load of around 1kW. It looks like the MPPT's were operating correctly, then all three have dropped out. I've attached a chart of their daily performance over a 30 day period showing when they dropped out.
So I guess the real issue is that the system is solely reliant on the generator, which is running out of fuel after a few days.
Any thoughts on why the MPPT's would cut out ? I had thought blown fuses but they were sensing battery voltage and all three units are having the same issue.

Which MPPT support synchronization? I would like to set up multiple MPPT in parallel. I currently have two MPPT 75/10. This was the only documentation surround synchronizing multple mppt: https://www.victronenergy.com/blog/2013/11/15/synchronizing-multiple-mppt-15070-charge-controllers-2/
If I am not mistaken, it says that you can hook up multple mppt in parallel without synchronizing them and as long as the settings are the same, it will perform. It also says the with the 150/70, you can use a "network cable" to connect and synchronize multple mppt so that they are always in the same stage (bulk, absorption, float). Is this only supported on the 150/70, or which mppts support using a cable for synchronization? What cable is this? Does it work with the 75/10? How much of a difference does the synchronization via network cable make?

Intelligent MPPT Charge Limiting without a CCGX RE: SIMPLE INSTALLATION WITHOUT CCGX
An installer customer of ours has asked if Victron can offer a similar 'intelligent' configuration possible with the Midnite or Outback MPPT and FlexNET DC Shunt combination. With that Outback configuration, the mppt battery charging current limit can be set, and the FlexNetDC shunt will monitor/ensure that limit is not exceeded, but if the inverter supplies a load, the mppt current will exceed the set mppt limit in a controlled manner.
I cant readily see a simple Victron MPPT and BMV Shunt solution, without the addition of a CCGX and then using DVCC.
Thanks
